POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Dental Assistant Level I or II
- 2 Year's experience
- Must be HARP certified
LOCATION: Yonge & Bloor
HOURS:
- Schedule flexible shared with 2 DA
- Mon 10:30-7
- Tues 10:30-7
- Wed 8-4
- Thurs 10:30-7
- Fri 9-4
- $24-28 depending on experience and performance
DENTAL ASSISTANT JOB OVERVIEW:
- Assisting dentist during dental procedures - restorations, crowns, bridges, extractions, fillings, root canals etc
- Sterilizing instruments
- Taking digital x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
- Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
- Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
- Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
- Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs
