*Dental Assistant II (Surgical)
Toronto, ONA Perio office at Yonge & Sheppard is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant.
Ideal candidate should have recent experience directly assisting a periodontist or oral surgeon. Position will be a maternity leave until June 20 or possible permanent position.

POSITION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced Dental Assistant Level II (NDAEB certified)
- Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience
- Office has a Steri person and someone that explains pre and post surgery instructions
LOCATION: Yonge & Sheppard
HOURS:
- Maternity until June 2025 or Possible Permanent
- Monday (optional) 8:30-4:30
- Tues, Weds, Thurs 8:30-4:30
COMPENSATION:
- $28-$35 depending on experience and performance
- Assisting Dentist with Perio treatments-implants, crown lengthening, bone grafting etc
- Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
- Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
- Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
- Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
