*Treatment Coordinator

An Orthodontic Office located in Scarborough at Lawrence/Warden is looking for a full-time Treatment Coordinator to join their team.

POSITION:

  • Experienced Dental Administrative experience (minimum 1+ years experience)

  • Must have excellent customer service

SOFTWARE:

  • TOPS Dental Software (willing to train)

LOCATION: Scarborough (Lawrence/Warden)
HOURS: 

  • Mon (9-5)

  • Tues & Thurs (9-6)

  • alt Wed (10-6)

  • 2 Sat a month (8-2)

COMPENSATION:

  • TBD depending on experience and performance

 JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

  • Greet patients in a warm and welcoming manner

  • Educating and thoroughly discuss treatments after the dentist has diagnosed and reviewed treatment

  • Explain benefits, recommendations and post-operative care

  • Presenting fees and giving estimates of treatment

  • Prepare and submit all pre-determinations from treatment plans

  • Schedule/confirm patient appointments, procedures and consultations using TOPS software (willing to train)

  • Preparing instructions regarding patient’s treatments and follow ups

  • Send confirmation of appointments via email and telephone and make follow-up calls/emails

  • Verify procedures completed, collect payments, and submit insurance claims electronically

  • Take x-rays (digital photos) and upload into patients file

  • Make patients feel comfortable before and after dental treatment

  • Receive and distribute mail, enter and scan payments and referral documents

  • Accurately maintain charts and patient records

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Dynamic, energetic, and professional personality is key

  • Must ideally have 3+ years experience as a Treatment Coordinator/Dental Receptionist

  • Harp Certified would be asset but not necessary

  • Ideal candidate would have some Ortho knowledge

  • Must know a Dental Software programs such as Abeldent, Tracker, Autopia, Tracker - will be trained on TOPS

  • Highly organized, quick learner with analytical thinking that allows for effective team work

  • MUST have excellent command of the English language (both oral and written)

  • Multitask oriented, self starter and able to work fully independent

  • MUST have strong computer skills

  • Must be able to process high volumes of work quickly, efficiently and accurately
