Thornhill practice is looking for an experienced Treatment Coordinator or Dental Receptionist to join their team.  

Position/Job requirement

• Minimum 3+ years experience as a Treatment Coordinator or Dental Receptionist
• Must be organized, detailed oriented, able to work in a fast pace environment and work well under pressure
• Experience with Tracker experience preferred 
• Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written.

Job Overview:

• Greet patients in a warm and welcoming manner
• Schedule and book appointments using the Tracker software system
• Verify procedures completed, collect payments, and submit insurance claims electronically
• Educate and thoroughly discuss treatments after the dentist has diagnosed and reviewed treatment
• Prepare a thorough written treatment plan as per doctor's instructions
• Explain benefits, recommendations and  post-operative care
• Present fees, give estimates for treatment, and make financial arrangements with the patient
• Prepare and submit all pre-determinations from treatment plans
• Schedule/confirm patient appointments, procedures and consultations using MacPractice software (will be trained)
• Prepare instructions regarding patient’s treatments and follow ups
• Coordinate with specialist's office: send x-rays, explanatory letters etc.
• Accurately maintain charts and patient records
• Take calls from patients or specialists who have questions about treatment

Hours: 

• Mon 8:30-5:30
• Tues 8:30-5:30
• Wed 7:30-5
• Thurs: 7:30-5
• 1 Fri per month 8:30-3
• 1 Sat per month 8:30-2:30 (alternating w/ Friday)

Location: Bathurst/Centre, Thornhill

Compensation: Treatment Plan Coordinator $30-35/hr; Dental Receptionist $25-28/hr
