*Dental Assistant Level I or II

Dental office at Dufferin and Queen is looking for a Dental Assistant either full-time or part-time. 

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced Dental Assistant, minimum of 2 years experience in a Canadian office
• Must be HARP certified
• Experience with digital radiographs
• Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in english
• Loves interacting with people and positive, upbeat personality
• Organized, dependable, and stays calm when things get busy
• Takes pride in creating a comfortable, positive experience for every patient.
• Works well as part of a team while also being confident working independently

LOCATION: Dufferin/King

HOURS: 

• Full-time, Part-Time may be available
• Hours are to be finalized
• Clinic is open 10-7 weekdays & 9-3 Sat

COMPENSATION:  ​$25-$35 depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

• Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
• Assisting dentist with restorations, root canals, crowns, bridges, veneers, implants, invisalign, fillings, extractions and mouth guards
• Placement and removal of rubber dams
• Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
• Taking preliminary impressions 
• Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
• Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs
• Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
