*Dental Assistant Level I or II
Newmarket, ONOur client, a very busy dental office, seeks an experienced Dental Assistant Level I or II. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player who is dedicated to patient care. Will be cross trained Dental Receptionist

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced Certified Level I or II Dental Assistant & asset if trained in Reception - will be cross trained
- Helping with charting, notes and help with Treatment Planning
- Liason with the back and the front
- Must have minimum of 2+ year of experience
- Tracker software (can be trained)
LOCATION: Newmarket (Free parking)
HOURS: (Hours to be discussed)
- Tues & Wed or 12-8 or 1-8
- Fri 10-3
- Sat 8:30-3
- Can offer more hours if needed
COMPENSATION: TBD depending on experience
JOB OVERVIEW:
- Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
- Sterilizing instruments
- Assisting dentist with crowns, bridges, occasional root canals/extractions
- Placement and removal of rubber dams
- Coronal polishing, fluoride, lab work
- Charting for Dentist and Hygienist
- lnvisalign and iTero knowledge an asset
- Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
- Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
- Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
- Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
- Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
- Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs
- Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
