Our client is looking for a full-time experienced Dental Assistant Level II at University/College.

Position/Job requirement

• Must have Level II Diploma
• Ideally have NDAEB or willing to complete in 6 months
• Minimum 1 years experience
• Dentrix knowledge an asset
• Moderate to strong command of the English language both spoken and written

Job Overview

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
• Sterilizing instruments
• Will assist General dentist with with crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, dental implants, invisalign, teeth whitening, fillings, extractions and mouth guards 
• Taking digital x-rays of patients' teeth 
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
• Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
• Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference

Hours: 

• Mon to Thurs 8:30-5:30
• Fri (2 or 3/month) 9-3
• Sat (on call only if needed) 8:30-3:30

Location: University/College (on site paid parking), Queen's Park subway

Compensation:

• $25+ TBD ​depending on experience and performance

• Basic dental for employee, their spouse and children included after three months
