Dental office at Eglinton & Avenue Rd is looking for a Permanent Dental Assistant

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced Level II Dental Assistant 
• Does not have to have NDAEB, but preferred
• Experience or willing to learn front desk an asset but not necessary

LOCATION: Toronto (Eglinton/Avenue -Early hrs Free Parking on Castle Knock Rd, Willowbank Blvd, Elwood Blvd, Roselawn Ave & Green P - $25/day with code Crosstown)

HOURS: 

• Mon (8:45-3)
• Tues & Wed (8:45-5)
• Thurs (7:45-3)
• Fri (7:45-1) 2x per/month

COMPENSATION: 

•  ​$28-$34 depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

• Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
• Sterilizing instruments
• Assisting dentist with crowns, bridges, veneers, implants invisalign, fillings, extractions and mouth guards 
• Placement and removal of rubber dams
• Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
• Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
• Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
• Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs
• Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
